Biography
Lucía León is an alumni of Chicana/o Studies at University of California Los Angeles. She grew up in Orange County where she began organizing with undocumented families in the mid 2000s. Her research interests include the production of illegality, racialized illegalities, undocumented young adults, legalization, gender and sexuality. Her dissertation focuses on an intersectional examination of the consequences of immigration law on the lived experiences of undocumented young adults navigating the marriage-based legalization process.
Currently, Lucía is an assistant professor of Latino Studies and Social Justice at the Dominican University of California.
