DESCRIPTION:Lonches con CCAS presents Job Market Spring 2021 Series \nJoin Lonches con CCAS this quarter for three job market salons. This series is open to all cohorts of Chicana/o & Central American Studies graduate students. \nSalon 1 – Job Market 101 – April 30 \nCCAS faculty hosts will cover the nuts and bolts of the job market. This salon will demystify the application process\, search committee protocols\, and the selection process of the candidate. \nSalon 2 – Becoming a Successful Candidate – May 14 \nCCAS faculty hosts will provide an overview of a successful candidate. Hosts will discuss the\ninterview process\, campus visits\, job talks\, teaching demos\, and negotiating an offer. \nSalon 3 – Alumni Roundtable – May 29 \nCCAS Alumni will share their job market experience at various institutions.
